Discover the striking beauty of negative space with this 100% hand-painted Jingdezhen Ba Fang Cup. Unlike traditional blue-on-white porcelain, the entire surface is filled with deep underglaze blue, with plum blossoms and branches left unpainted to reveal the natural white of the clay. Fired in a traditional wood-fired kiln, the buds outnumber the open blooms, capturing the tree at the cusp of flowering. 

Perfectly sized for daily Gongfu tea sessions, this octagonal teacup holds 3.7 fl oz when full, with an ideal tasting capacity of 2.0–2.7 fl oz. Thrown by hand in Jingdezhen, it bears a traditional four-character mark on the base. This piece is one-of-a-kind—only one available.
